1st year 2nd trimester...

Repeating Computer Programming I and Database Systems, plus Malaysian Studies.

Malaysian Studies? Hehe... I used to be good in Local Studies (Kajian Tempatan) in primary school, then Geography and History in PMR... :D But last year SPM History I didn't have time to prepare, so... D7 :P

Computer Programming I? More fun... ;)

Database Systems? ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stil susahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate it :@

Get to know more friends in class, Christian Fellowship, church... different kinds of races... :D

My notebook computer got struck by lighting during the previous break, so I was computer-less for the first two weeks :( even so still got warranty, no charges :D Only went home 2nd weekend, get back this computer... then later never go home until Christmas!

Oh God, En Hui is back from Singapore!

There was one Sunday, I planned to go to St. Mary's Cathedral, then visit my friends in All Saint's Church. But I couldn't get up :P so only went to ASC, then attended Dss. Chin's "Anglicanism" class.

I was too late to sign up for Diocese Chinese Youth Camp :( no more friends in Ipoh at that time :( I went to St. Mary's Cathedral.

The next two Sundays, All Saint's Church. The first one, went out with friends there for lunch, and we have meeting about the youth while we eat :D As it was the first time Jason met me, I was wearing the Our Saviour's Church Youth Club T-shirt, he thought I'm from that church :P

Then I took the shuttle train back to Ipoh on 24th night. Returned 26 evening because got programming lab test on 27th morning, really rosak my plan :(

Anyway, on 28th morning I attended the Christmas Carol in All Saint's Church. My first Christmas Carol I think. Now I used to attend this church.

I'm going to celebrate my countdown here in Klang Valley instead of Ipoh... first time outside Ipoh...

Then on 01/01/2009 I'm following Jason, Josephine and bao wei to St. Paul's Church Slim River, the opening ceremony of ASOD 2009. I will come back to KL after the ceremony, then I will attend from 12th to 21st.

Haha... more than one month...

Sorry... almost forgotten this blog :-P Almost one month I never returned to Ipoh, now finally... This is the third time I came back by train.

What to tell? The last time Icame back was a week after Independence Day, when Poi Lam High School had food & fun fair. Met a few old friends... Such a sucessful fair! The coupons were sold off early around 11am. I bought quite a number of items!

The following Sundays? I went to All Saint's Church Cheras for 3 times. The church is near the Chan Sow Lin LRT Station (STAR Line or Ampang Line).

1st time - from Putrajaya Sentral took Metrobus to Serdang KTM Komuter station, took commuter to Bandar Tasik Selatan, then LRT to Chan Sow Lin

2nd time - took bus E1 from Putrajaya Sentral to Central Market (Pasar Seni), walked to Plaza Rakyat LRT station (behind Puduraya bus station), travelled to Chan Sow Lin

3rd time - Saturday evening followed a few CCF members such as Yii Ching Ping to City Disciples Presbyterian Church Subang Jaya, at night took commuter from Subang Jaya to Bank Negara, walked to Bandaraya LRT station, travelled to Chan Sow Lin. Stayed overnight in church!

Know how I found the church? I used Google Earth and an atlas of Klang Valley. By the way I got the church address from the Diocese of West Malaysia website: http://www.anglicanwestmalaysia.org.my/. Then on the Saturday evening before, I confirmed the way by walking from the LRT station, and met Vincent Phang and his aunt who is in charge of taking care of the church. Vincent Phang is a son of a pastor, Ven Andrew Phang of Christ Church Penang. Vincent is studying in LimKokWing University, Cyberjaya. By the way this All Saint's Church is Chong En Hui's church. My friend in ASOD. Then I found that Deaconess Chin Kho Nee is serving there!

1st year 1 trimester over... barred from Computer Programming I because attendance too low, absent for Database Systems because forgotten the date... :'( :'( :'( End up only sat for Digital Systems, passed. But overall, failed this final exam, so under probabtion :'( I was probably one of the last local students leaving the hostel, I went home on the first Wednesday of the trimester break.

31st October - followed St. Michael's Church people to St. Paul's Church Petaling Jaya to watch the Ordination of Priests and Deacons. I was the only one in St. Peter's Church who enrolled to watch this ceremony, so I got to follow these St. Michael's Church people. I was representing St. Peter's Church :D Gideon Lee from St. Michael's Church and Wong Yoo from Gereja Shekinah Mambang Di Awan were ordained as a priest, and... http://www.anglicanwestmalaysia.org.my/sub_page.aspx?catID=4&ddlID=153

Oooh... finally my dad allow me to drive further, to St. Peter's Church, St. Michael's Church...

Went to St. Mary's Cathedral just for "spiritual meal"!?

Suddenly wanted to go home, suddenly decided not to go home. Then I have St. Mary's Cathedral in mind, and I found that Masjid Jamek LRT station (both STAR and PUTRA) is the nearest transport station, so I took KLIA Transit and STAR LRT (now known as Ampang Line) to Masjid Jamek and walked there, then I found that the church was preparing for a wedding on the next day. I enquired for the Sunday service and found that there are 7am, 8.30am, 10.30am and 6pm.

Saturday? Erm... nothing.

Sunday - followed the Chinese Christian Fellowship to Serdang Methodist Church. In Mandarin. Took lunch in Serdang. Then I went for the Evensong in St. Mary's Cathedral (i.e. the 6pm service). I took RapidKL T429 to Putrajaya Sentral and took RapidKL E1 to KL Sentral (I didn't know that E1 stops there, thought of going to Central Market a.k.a Pasar Seni and take PUTRA LRT), then I took PUTRA LRT to Masjid Jamek station. But I've misestimated the time! I was very very late, arrived 7pm and just right to take Holy Communion ONLY, not even the sermon. Then as I was spoted as a newcomer, I was introduced to the young (20 and above?) members in the Contemporary Service (same time as the traditional Evensong). I talked with them until around 8.30pm, then I took STAR LRT to Plaza Rakyat Station and went to Puduraya bus station to buy bus ticket for this coming Friday - I'm sure I want to go home. Alas! No more afternoon tickets! I bought Transnasional 11.30am, so I'll have to get up very early. After that I tried to find my way to Central Market (Pasar Seni) to take RapidKL E1 back to Putrajaya Sentral (don't want to spend on the KLIA Transit). I went into Jalan Petaling and got lost, passed by the Bar Council building (where two weeks ago there was the convert to Islam forum and some Muslims gathered up to protest), then I gave up, thought of taking PUTRA LRT from Pasar Seni station to somewhere else. As I was getting near the station, there were buses there! And there was an E1! So I got up and...

First time didn't go home

Yeah, it was last weekend! Because I missed the Friday 1pm bus! I couldn't buy afternoon ticket because school holiday was coming. At first I was wondering where to go, didn't want to go back to campus. Finally, I decided to go to Our Saviour's Church Salak South, where I went for ASOD January of this year. I stayed overnight in Rev Jacob Bau's house for 4 days 3 nights. On Saturday night there was no Youth Fellowship but there was Youth cell group. Met Eddy and Simon again. Went to service on Sunday. Went back to campus on Monday morning after breakfast.

End of the mid term break

During the break after I came back from agreement signing, I practice driving in several places. I even went into Malay villages!

On Saturday, again, I ponteng my church YF half way :-P then at night the SMAC youth went to combine with the Cornerstone Sanctuary youth. Since Cornerstone is just upstairs of Ray of Hope, my dad sent me there. And - Kimberly was there!! She was supposed to serve in our Mandarin service operating the projector. But she said her mom asked her to go there. We played games... organised by the Cornerstone people. As it finished, I noticed that most of the SMAC people came by church van!

Monday balik lo...

Thursday, August 7, 2008

Now... one week break

As you can see...

I didn't go to SMAC Youth on Saturday night because they have Games Night and it was too early for me! (6.30-8.00pm) Our CYF was preparing for Youth Sunday on 31st August. Argh... I don't know how to dance :-(

On Sunday, I gave everyone in Ray of Hope a surprise - I'm back!! Mymom didn't tell them that I was following. Because not enough car, I went on Isaiah's car to SMAC. We worshipped there, then the students have performances such as dancing and percussion... then we sell cookies...

It was Datin Mary Yeoh giving sermon - yeah, in Cantonese. And there was Holy Communion, but we didn't shake hand!?

And - Stella didn't turn up.

Monday - practice driving in Jelapang before leaving for MMU. It was too late when my notebook computer was ready, so I have to visit a cybercafé at night, opposite Puduraya bus station. Found that the PTPTN agreement signing time changed from 2.30pm to 11.00 am. But already bought bus ticket for 9.30pm!

Tuesday - Went to sign agreement, but still have somemore have to let my parents sign. Then, about 2.30pm, I found that I have a friend from Sarawak who didn't know about the time change! Poor thing... his loan will be delayed... I went back on the 7.30pm bus.

Wednesday, July 30, 2008

Now...

I scored 6 marks out of 10 marks for the lab test.

I arrived Ipoh and my godfather Kok Chin Choong came in a van (carrying children) to send me back to St. Peter's Church. I reached SPC after 6pm, then we went to an Indian Muslim shop for dinner, then my parents sent me to Jusco to wait for a van to go to St. Michael's Church. Wow... more than one hour! So long... And there were far less people, people like Anna, Michael... disappeared. Heard that they have gone to KL for a Worship in Songs training. And have to go back early, don't know why...

Bought some books in Ipoh for study...

Then the following Saturday, SMAC no Youth Fellowship, then in SPC the important people in the Chinese Youth Fellowship disappeared, we just kept playing games...

Now it's the last week before mid-term break. But this coming Tuesday have to sign the PTPTN loan agreement!

I will go back this coming Friday, attend both YF on Saturday, then follow Ray of Hope to SMAC on Sunday - we will have a mini food fair! I've been longing to go there for Sunday worship. I wish to meet ________.

Lab test coming...

This coming Saturday. Computer Programming I (TCP1231).

On Tuesday night I went to KL to change my bus ticket to Saturday 2.30pm. My parents adviced me not to go home. But now... I think the chance for me to go home is 99%. My dad told me that Anwar may be arrested on the next day (Yesterday).

Then Anwar was really arrested yesterday afternoon around 1pm! He was back home from the Anti Corruption Agency. He had appointment with the police at 2pm.

This morning he was released.

I've dropped Japanese. Just put down one burden for this trimester. Tomorrow I'll have no lesson for the whole day and I'll come back from Ipoh on Monday.

Tuesday, July 15, 2008

!!!!

I realise that I'm far behind in the Japanese lesson

I wanna drop!!!! If not then my GPA (Grade Point Average) may turn out <2.0!!!! Then I can't get the PTPTN loan!!!!

Sunday, July 13, 2008

Wow... how many times I balik kampung!?

Again...

Latest news of me in MMU - I dropped 2 subjects! TMT1011 and LES1010. TMT1011 is actually not in my major, I founded out. My dad and I misunderstood the list. It's actually not my schecule, just a list of subjects of the faculty - Faculty of Information Technology (FIT). Now? Only 13 credit hours! Then the LES1010 (Technical Communication), when I attended the lesson I didn't even understand what is it about, just knowing that we were given an assignment - doing a survey. I registered late, so I was left behind. I decided to do next year, maybe. Then the next trimester I will also do Mathematical Techniques I which is meant for this trimester.

Saturday I just went to St. Peter's Church, didn't go to St. Michael's Church. Because SMAC has Youth Sunday, and started early (7.30pm). My dad is lazy to send me all the way to Kampung Tawas. Stella told me that if they are to arrange their van to take me there, I have to wait at 6pm. But at that time was 5.45 pm, I was still in SPC! I haven't take my dinner! Nevermind, see you this coming Saturday, maybe.

This morning I went back to English 2nd service. Speaker - Pastor Ling from... I don't know what church is that, but I'm sure not Anglican.

____...

Why - it seem that I'm invisible to you.
Or, you think you're invisible to me!? No.
Why, that is so long ago, and I thought it is alright now, but...

4th time balik kampung~

Argh!!!! Printer no more black ink!!!! And my refill is a failure :-(
Then on Friday, I missed the Japanese lesson because I didn't have my notes ready, and haven't memorize the things :-(
In the afternoon, I took KLIA Transit from Putrajaya to KL Sentral, went to PTPTN One Stop Centre to buy the application form...

I was supposed to take Transnasional 6.30pm, but the bus delayed until almost 8!! By the way the 5.30pm bus delayed to 7pm.

Saturday morning - went back to Poi Lam to get my school magazine of last year, then met a few friends, then bought printer cartridges (colour and black) ... then in the afternoon went to St. Peter's Church YF, and then in the evening managed to persuade my dad to let me go to St. Michael's Church...

Yoohoo!! Actually my parents have made noises regarding my attendance to St. Michaels' Church YF. It is very far from our house - from somewhere near Pasir Pinji up to Kampung Tawas! That's at least 30 minutes! Furthermore we are not members of that church, they think it's not nice to always go there. My mum said I should go to either our St. Peter's Church English YF (History Makers) or the Mandarin service.

Eventually, after 2 weeks not attending there, I went there again!! So exciting!! I negotiated with them about the transportation, we agreed that my dad drop me at Jaya Jusco and the church van come and take me.

After I arrived there, my parents went to Tesco for shopping. And I enjoyed in SMAC... escpecially it's Stella's birthday!! Unfortunately she had no birthday cake, just a giant birthday card. After ended, I got to knew Michelle Poo...

Sunday - nothing special actually, morning I joined the Cantonese service but still almost entirely not understanding the sermon. Afternoon makan with a few people. Continue filling the PTPTN form - shading on the OMR $hit (haha... sheet -> shit -> $hit) is so tiring! Then my dad took over. Now just wait for him to let the Oath Commissioner sign the form. I will check the code of MMU and my course. Evening took 5.15pm Sri Maju, bt late by 5 minutes, then it stopped at Medan Gopeng and Gopeng, arrived Puduraya bus station 8.45pm, then took LRT to Bandar Tasik Selatan, took KLIA Transit to Putrajaya, took RapidKL bus to MMU...

WHERE IS THE BAD LUCK AURA!!??

Today mydad and I got great headache of my timetable. We tried so hard to make a new timetable. End up I have no lunch time on Wednesday and Thursday unless I drop Technical Communication.

I couldn't go to St. Peter's Church, I couldn't go to St. Michael's Church... couldn't meet mylovely friends :-( only my parents

Why only my parents? Because I couldn't buy ticket for tomorrow afternoon and evening! Have to say goodbye in the morning :-( 10.30 Sri Maju

Diarrhoea!!

Started very early morning of Thursday, 5 something... so many time I went to toilet... at firstI was not sure about the presence of clinic in our campus, but as I went online, Stephanie (an OC during Orientation Week) told me about the clinic, but have to wait until 2.30 pm because the doctor has gone for prayer. Then I fell asleep. AfterI woke up I seemed to feel alreight. But at night I felt I really need to see doctor, then I walked to the clinic , CLOSED! Closed at 10 pm, I reched there 10 something. Onthat day I didn't attend lesson.

Friday - I went to the hostel counter for help. The campus doctor hadn't come yet (could be 10.30am!), so they sent me to see a doctor in Dengkil. And it cost me RM35! So, I took medicine, and rest... skipped another lesson... In the afternoon I packed up and go back to Ipoh... 6.30pm Plusliner.

Tuesday, June 24, 2008

Now it's my 3rd week in MMU...

Late for this morning's lesson, supposed to be 11am, but I reached about 11.15 am.

Oh yes, yesterday I bought new printer, because couldn't find adaptor to convert between USB and LPT1. Today I've used my brand new printer!

2nd week in MMU

My lesson start on Tuesday... much more relaxed than Oreintation Week. Opened my new bank account at CIMB Bank in order to apply for PTPTN loan. Have fun with my laptop.

...

Then only I realised - Wednesday and Thursday are 9am to 4pm! Got to rearrange my timetable...

Friday no lesson again! Went to KL and... then I rushed back to take dinner and then go and catch the bus! Transnasional 9.30pm!!

Just got it!

Saturday - my dad went to Cameron Highlands. Afternoon my mom took me and the few kids we always take, to church. In our YF we just make ladybirds, ladybirds, ladybirds... Then, at night I couldn't go to St. Michael's Church, because my dad was too tired... but it's fortunate, because I could rearrange my timetable. But... I couldn't fit it Mathematical Techniques I!! Now only 13 credit hours... :-( Then now, everyday I have lesson.

Sunday - as the previous week, joined my parents to the Cantonese service. This time it was Deaconess Wong Yoke Chan from St. Augustine's Church giving sermon. I cannot understand Cantonese sermons!!!!

I wanted to go back after 4pm, but no ticket until 9.30 pm. If 9.30? Then we I reach MMU I can't go in, the gate closes at 12am. I bought the 5am ticket, Plusliner.

Monday - I couldn't get up! My dad came and wake me up about 4.55 am, we quickly rushed there and... ohh... got up the bus...

1st week in MMU...

1st week Oreintation Week, too busy to go online... What a tiring week... and bored me to death... all sorts of childish functions and lots of briefing, discipline... no time to rest (except meals)! Just get to know a few friends, such as other new students (known as "freshies") and Oreintation Commitees (OCs).

Then, on Friday, I've done course registration. I woke up so late! Then, I forgot to bring my main timetable! ...!!!! I just simply arranged here and there... I couldn't find "Technical Communications"! While there are suppose to have 19 credit points, I got only 16. Later, I went to the administration office to find out what document I didn't submit (I knew because my name tag is without photo). I was told that I didn't submit my SPM result. After that I packed up and look for my way out at 4.30 pm. Walked out of the campus, wait for RapidKL bus 429 to Cyberjaya Sentral, wait for bus E1 to Pasar Seni (near Jalan Petaling). I missed one E1!

It took me long time to reach Pasar Seni and look for my way to Puduraya bus station. I couldn't buy ticket from famous companies like Transnasional, Plusliner... and end up I got to buy a 8pm ticket from the person shouting "Ipoh! Ipoh! Ipoh!" by RM30! Then we waited, moved here and there... until 9.30pm! You know, this is cheating, so next time don't buy ticket from these people, always buy from the counter, unless all the counters have sold out!

Saturday - afternoon skipped Youth Fellowship, went to look for notebook computer, at night went to St. Michael's Church while my parents went for dinner. No YF there, but we went to the church service, because the principal of the Sekolah Teologi Malaysia, Rev. Dr. Ezra Kok, came to give sermon about the book of Ephesus. At the end, my parents came after dinner.

Sunday - Father's Day, ...

Monday - back to MMU. Took a 3.30pm Plusliner to KL, arrived there and take LRT to Bandar Tasik Selatan, wait for about 20 minutes for KLIA Transit to Putrajaya Sentral, take a 429 bus back to MMU. Reached MMU about 8.30pm.

Friday, June 6, 2008

Going away from Ipoh...

To Multimedia University in Cyberjaya.

I've grown a lot of roots in Ipoh. I really wish I don't need to go so soon, unless I have my own residence over there. I prefer to have my own residence than staying in the hostel. Staying in the hostel means staying with friends 24 hours. Then where's my privacy!? Furthermore, I haven't enjoy myself in Ipoh yet!

Eventually... pass

Driving test, but...

So late only I can get my driving license :-( I wish I've passed earlier, then I could simply go round as I wish.

Farewell

Wednesday, 4 June 2008 - the last day I work in Ray of Hope.

Kimberly bought me a cake, they have a farewell party for me... it's so touching

Well, I don't know what to say over here, but - I miss you all!

Become volunteer in Ray of Hope

No longer paid :-(

I helped my mom to type her lesson plan for June, and also help to prepare for the stall in the Anglican Diocesan Women Conference on Tuesday. The DWC was from Monday to Wednesday, but we only go on Tuesday. Besides that, some of the students - the so-called "Percussion Band", were sent there to perform.

Met several women, such as Pasfe Lin, Pasfe Bau...

At first my mom adviced me not to go there, thinking that I would be bored, but I insisted to go. Finally, I enjoyed myself there!

New mobile phone!!

It's a Sony Ericsson K770i. Replace my old, 5-years old Sony Ericsson T610. At first I thought of K800i and K810i, but they are older models, and I keep hearing such as "they may be reckon"...

The only thing I don't like about K770i is - no infrared! Yeah, Bluetooth is much more convenient than infrared, as Bluetooth - 10m; infrared - 10cm, but there are also phones which have infrared but no Bluetooth!

My mom will use the T610, and we agreed that she's goingto buy new SIM card.

We bought the phone in Greentown Mall. Then we went to Bishop's house nearby...

Oh God, now even Bisfe knows THE story...

"Alone" in Ipoh

The English Youth (History Makers) have their Amazing Race 2 in Pangkor Island. The 7 key people of the Chinese Youth (Descendant of Light) went to Penang for one whole week for KidsGames in St. Paul's Church.

Anyway, on Saturday night I went to St. Michael's Church for the 2nd time. This time, it was still my dad sent me to Jaya Jusco (Kinta City), and another friend took me from there.

Eh? Anna Lee must have withdrawn from National Service. She has become prettier. And, haha, put on weight...

Seemed nothing. They practice dancing conducted by Anna Lee, for their Youth Sunday in July.

Their leader, Stella Chong, helped me to arrange my transport home. At first I was to get on the First Garden van (so far!), but fortunately someone was going to Pasir Pinji, so...

Thank you sister Stella! You're so kind!

Fukkkkkkkkkkkk.......... Failed driving test for the SECOND TIME!!!!

Again...
This time it was at the U-turn. I stepped too much on the accelerator. Even before that I've been scolded by the tester for some dangerous events, such as changing lane too late, ... by the way I'm not used to such a new car.

:'(

Wait for another week... I'm still not mobile :-(

Got rejected by NUS!!!!

It's really a piece of $hit news, but may be also a fortune inside it...

There will be a chance to appeal, from 30th May onwards. So far I have Sociology and Political Science in mind. Because I wish to join politics in the future. But my dad disagrees. He thinks that I will be unable to find a job. But - is that really the case? If so, who dares to take up Sociology? Furthermore, some jobs only require you to be a degree holder at least, but not specifying which course! And, in S'pore, I may even consider becoming a bus driver... hehe... as the paid is quite high (at least SGD2000)...

So?

Back from Bukit Mertajam, then...

The first time my mom drive on North-South Expressway to Bukit Mertajam - after 10 years of driving. In the morning I got to go to my aunt's shop to solve my working thing... then we ended up going late. Wow, traffic jam on the highway before the toll gate! Should have gone by the Jelapang way instead of the Bercham way. And as we get out of the Nibong Tebal toll gate, we started seeking the way to my grandma's house (near Machang Bubok)... and we were lost! So, we went to an aunt's house first, then... On that night I could just play with my uncle's notebook computer... Duhh... hotmail is so sssssllllllooooowwwww!!!!

Sunday - met somemore people, somemore interesting trips... then it was my grandmother's birthday dinner at night!

Monday - have to go back to Ipoh in the morning, have to work...

Tuesday - ...

Get ready to go for the final driving lesson and take the test! By the way I think what's the new mobile phone I want to buy...

Thursday, May 22, 2008

This week is going to be over...

Nothing special, days just simply passed...

Couldn't arrange a day to learn driving :-(

Deacon Gideon Lee was absent for the theology class again...

School holiday is approaching, students do not need to come to Ray of Hope...

June is coming, have to type my mom's lesson plan for June...

Our boss Datin Mary Yeoh is coming next week...

...

17 May 2008

Today... the Chinese Youth Fellowship go to St. Paul's Church in Slim River for the Kids Games. I don't go because have to arrive our church at 7 am!! Too early...

Tonight the St. Michael's Church is going to Hallelujah Church to help them to build up their youth fellowship. But I'm not going too, it's inconvenient...

And...

I'll be happy to find that Anna Lee put on some weight due to her National Service, she's too skinny :-P

Failed driving test :-(

Monday - besides teaching, I had to carry on the really headache job since Friday: arranging the books in the library! My mum helped me a bit. We have to group the books into families. Then we have to record. And until now it is still not complete!

Tuesday - the YWAM people came in the morning. 3 English people. They have seen how our Hope (Level 6) class in conducted. The afternoon was quite special, we took the Joy class kids out to buy bread for their tea break...

Wednesday - On leave. Learn driving. Eventually, my three-point-turn is allright! Then the going-up the hill, parking...

Thursday - Driving test... FAILED at the going-out section! Because I went too close to the car in front. Have to take the test again after 2 weeks (29 May). :-( But passed all the hill, 3-point turn and parking

Friday - Wanted to do the work given by boss, but couldn't retrieve the photos from the external hard disk :-(

Monday, May 12, 2008

From Thursday to Sunday...

Back to work on Friday... Mrs. Yam arranged us to teach students in groups during classwork. The Peace class is really a headache one. Anyway, on that day it was Joy class. In the morning we went out to collect leaves for classwork - colouring on paper with leaves below. For Joy, I was assigned - Murphy Lim, Jessie, Joshua and Cheong Kai Xin. But on that day, only Murphy turned up. As Sheila had 2 turned up while Salome had 3, I asked Salome to send one to me. She sent me Ng Yue Jiun.

On Saturday, as usual, I went for Chinese Youth Fellowship in the afternoon, but this time we were supposed to start on 2pm, to prepare goods on sale for Mother's Day. We prepared flowers... And I saw Isaiah being bald! Haha... Then in the evening we went home and after I took my bath and have roti canai as dinner, I went to St. Michael's Church in Kampung Tawas for their Youth Fellowship. I contacted Ricky Sang, a schoolmate of mine in Poi Lam. So, my dad sent me to the entrance of Jaya Jusco and I get on Ricky's 4-wheel drive...

Wow... actually Kampung Tawas is not really far from Bercham! No wonder Kg Tawas is under Bercham State Assembly constituency, no wonder the SMC telephone number starts with 546 (or whatever)... I'm new there. I met Wai Kam Wai who also attended the ASOD this year. I also met the boy in SPC who once became depressed because of playing too much computer. Then... ANNA!!!! She has turned darker............ after NS. Then I met Winnie Lee and her elder brother, then I started to know people - Matthew Poo, Michael Poo, Mexine Lee... After I reached home, I took Maggi Mee as supper, read newspaper, and then... POOM! Zzz... Zzz... Zzz...

Sunday - Mother's Day! In church I've bought a carnation for mom, then two boxes of cookies and a History Makers (English Youth Fellowship) T-shirt. And they kept asking me to buy somemore... And Peggy eventually brought me the thumbdrive I bought from her.

At night, after we have dinner with some family members in Bercham, we've lost our way out! We ended up getting out in Tambun, so as we passed by Giant, we went there for shopping. It was such a fortunate lost!

Thursday, May 8, 2008

Back from KL

Well...
We stayed in Renaissance Hotel. I stayed with my uncle (Ipoh) in the same room. Our room is RM500 per night I think. Overall, we all went to KLCC and Pavillon. So, not much we've been. Just walking around...

My parents came back last night. My driving test is supposed to be today, but suddenly postponed :-( But anyway, I could stay for one more night and come back by today.

Oh yes, today the NS 6-days break starts. Isaiah comes back...

Monday, May 5, 2008

Got paid

Now I realised that I've actually worked for only 14 days last month! No wonder my paid is so low...

I heard that the power supply of one of the shoplots of our centre exploded, so we called someone to repair...

Sigh... the Peace (Level 3) class is really driving me nuts! My head is going to explode... KABOOM!!!! It should be called "War" class, not "Peace" class. Teaching the class is like fighting in Iraq.

Tomorrow my mom and I take leave to go to Kuala Lumpur to meet my aunt from Australia...

CYF Birthday Celebration

No Blessed Kids today because of Dr. Teoh's son marriage, but our YF still on!

As usual, I followed my dad who used to drive a church van to carry people to Blessed Kids and CYF. But this time, we ignored the kids. But:

Jessica thought that the YF was cancelled. Since she wasn't ready at all, she decided not to come.
Kai Xuen went himself
So, only the two pretty sisters - Yin Peng and Yin Hung came.

Yin Hung had been absent for twice because she was busy of her PMR History project. Eventually...

At the end, altogether 12 of us turned up. Wai Yan came late.

As usual, we have worship in songs, then we played games... until we have our birthday (Jan-Apr) celebration. Only 2 of us celebrating! The other one was Juliana. If Isaiah didn't go for National Service, he would be another birthday boy.

Interestingly, I was the only one who brought a camera. So we took some photos.

We have prepared junk foods, drinks, presents, and a birthday cake. I prepared 12 soya beans. They start drinking my supply after the soft drinks were finished up.

At the end, My dad and I used our own car to send the beautiful Chong sisters home...

Politics... politics... politics...

Recently my collegues found that I'm interested in politics and wish to join politics in the future, and they prepare to support me.

I don't quite like Democratic Action Party (DAP), because they have been "Chinese Chauvinistic". They make various comments which can be seen as racism (anti-Malay) or anti-Islam. For example, they say that requiring to wear Malay traditional costume in ceremonies is offending the Chinese, an MCA/Gerakan leader wearing songkok is betraying the Chinese... these comments are fashion racism. They are supposed to be multi-racial, yet they behave too much like a Chinese party, more than MCA, and they are gathering votes by racist Chinese.

To me, racist Chinese shouldn't even go to vote. If you're a Malaysian, you should not be a racist. If you're a racist, you better get out of Malaysia. So, racist Chinese better go back to China, as they even tend to call themselves "we China people" (我們中國人).

PKR (Parti KeADILan Rakyat) is a Malay-majority multi-racial party. It not only pull Malay supports, it also pulls Chinese supports. An MCA leader, probably Chan Kong Choy, commented that "PAS plays Malay feelings, DAP plays Chinese feelings, PKR plays boths races feelings!".

I support KeADILan!!!!

Where can I go for election?

Parliament:
Perak - Tambun, Gopeng...
Penang - Nibong Tebal, Bayan Baru...
Kedah - Sungai Petani, Merbok...
Selangor - Petaling Jaya Selatan, Templer's Park...
Kuala Lumpur - Wangsa Maju, Batu...
Johor - Muar...

State Assembly:
Ulu Kinta, Simpang Pulai, Teja, Changkat Jering, Behrang, Slim, Kuala Kurau, Kuala Sepetang...

Mana ye????

...

Argh... getting lazier and lazier...

Now I'm working in Ray of Hope, since after the March school holidays. Then I'm paid. Now I'm waiting to be paid again... And I've opened my own bank account, with a debit card! Unfortunately the debit card is still not ready for online usage :-( Can't use it to go online shopping such as eBay...

I've seen various mentally disabled kids and teens in Ray of Hope, such as autistic, Down's Syndrome, slow learner... And there was only one day, our boss, Datin Mary Yeoh, came to have meeting with us. At first I was worried that she would have something to scold/lecture us, but eventually, nothing!

And, I've attended the course in our church for 3 times, every Tuesday night, about the Anglican church. I attend the Mandarin one, conducted by Rev Frank Lin. Excited to see Deacon Gideon Lee, who helped to deliver money from my mom, via Rev Frank, to me, during the ASOD.

Now, Multimedia University has offered me Bachelor in Information Technology Software Engineering at Cyberjaya, while Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman offered me Computer Engineering at Kampar. Both are not 1st choice :-(

Still waiting for National University of Singapore's answer... I hope to go there, higher standard. And I hate to be tied up by the Akta Universiti and Kolej Universiti (University and University College Act) over here! If I'm going to NUS, then I'll quickly join Parti KeADILan Rakyat as an ordinary member, then after I come back from S'pore, I'll start participating in politics! Will you see me becoming the Perak Menteri Besar, or even the Prime Minister? God's willing...

Oh yes, I've got accepted into Temasek Polytechnic, but I'm not going...

Perak new Menteri Besar

DAP won the most seats among the 3 opposition parties, and they form a coalition government here. But - is the Perak DAP chariman Ngeh Koo Ham going to be the MB?

The Perak constitution states that the Chief Minister must be a Malay Muslim, unless the Sultan grants exemption. At first, the 3 parties agreed to let the Perak PAS secretary, Mohammed Nizar, to be the new MB. But the DAP grassroots were unhappy, so the 3 parties have to negotiate again. So DAP would like the Sultan to give exemption and let Ngeh to be the new MB. If he becomes the new MB, we get the first Chinese MB, and also the first Christian MB. Besides that, the Perak KeADILan treasurer was also a potential new MB.

This problem stayed for about one week, at the end the Sultan apppointed Mohammed Nizar. Ngeh Koo Ham becomes the No.1 Deputy Chief Minister (Timbalan Menteri Besar). The No.2 Deputy MB is reserved for an Indian. But Lim Kit Siang declared unsatisfication and called for boycotting the ceremony! So the ceremony was postponed.

Now everything has gone smoothly... How will the new government rule Perak?

Political earthquake...

Wow...
The oppositions have denied Barisan Nasional's 2/3 majority and also defended Kelantan, plus conquered Kedah, Penang, Perak and Selangor!

Many key people in BN have surprisingly lost, such as Samy Vellu, Koh Tsu Koon, Sharizat, Zainuddin Maidin, Donald Lim, ... In Penang, UMNO was the only BN party that won something, others - Gerakan, MCA and MIC lost everything! The new Penang government is DAP + KeADILan. In Perak and Selangor, BN won the most seats but cannot reach 50%. So, DAP, KeADILan and PAS form coalition government in these 2 states.

I was worried whether there would be another 513 incident, but eventually none!

12th General Election

Most probably I'm just one of the MINORITIES of teenagers who are interested in politics. I enjoy following up political issues. Interesting. Most teenagers think these are none of their business, they would rather follow up things like Edison Chen's sex photo scandal, or which celebrity date with which celebrity...

While Tan Lian Hoa (or whatever!) from Gerakan, who was the MP of Bukit Gantang, wanted to go to Taiping, M.Kayveas of PPP who was the MP there insisted to stay. UMNO wanted back Bukit Gantang, which is a Malay area. At 1st UMNO wanted to give ger Lenggong, but at the end they gave her Gerik. She - a gypsy woman? :-P

And some other political competitions... DAP and KeADILan negotiated over Chinese areas and Chinese-majority mixed areas, KeADILan and PAS negotiated over Malay areas and Malay-majority mixed areas. The oppositions want to work together to fight BN. But DAP kept denying that they cooperate with PAS.

This time PAS didn't declare their ambition of building an Islamic state - instead, a charity state (negara kebajikan).

Wan Azizah, the chairwoman of KeADILan, said that if she wins Permatang Pauh, then she will resign when her hubby Anwar Ibrahim is free to take part in politics, and give way for him to go for by-election. Anwar was jailed for 5 years due to abuse of power as Deputy PM, then for 4 years he couldn't take part in politics. Btw, he was supposed to be jailed for another 9 years for sodomy, but later found no prove.

Politics... my favorite drama... hehe...

ASOD gathering cancelled!!

WHY!!??
It was Anna who proposed this. Then Philip send me a text message to ask me to bring RM50 to Cameron Highlands. I kept following up from him, at the end...

:'(

I cannot see ____!!!!

Parliament dissolved suddenly at 13th Feb

Pak Lah promised that he wouldn't dissolve the Parliament on that day, but at the end...

Lonely Valentine

Again... :'(

Chinese New Year

Duhh... nothing special :-P just enjoy collecting angpows

ASOD Graduation...

What a touching day...

We have rehearsal at the night before. The praises in songs, drama, beatbox (or... how to spell?), ... Before that, we prayed together, sang the Amazing Grace, and also apologizing... Then the girls, except Christine, all cried... During worship in songs, Anna and Grace cried again... then I gave tissue paper via Anny...

Oh, graduation! We gave the ASOD shirts to the pastors who have taught us, and also Bishop. 3 of them wore the shirt and looked young! And... oops! I got to rush back to wear my sport shoes :-P

And... well, what to say? Oh, I supplied tissue papers for whoever who cried. But Meow Eng spoilt my plan!! He simply threw my tissue papers around, while my plan was - hand over the tissue paper by myself. And... what!!?? My testimony cancelled!!??

After that, we went to McDonald's... and after we came back, we have cakes from Anny, and then...

Wow, I slept for about just 3 hours!

5th week

Eventually, 5th week, my favorite lesson! Malaysian Society, Islam and Christianity!!

On Sunday, we went to St. Gabriel's Church. No Holy Communion... :-( During the praises in songs, while singing the last song, Anna cried at the end... pityful... WHY!? Tak tau. After service, the pastor gave us briefing about the church, then we have lunch. I DON'T LIKE THE LUNCH!!!! Then we bought ice-cream... yummy! In the afternoon, Pastor Jacob Bau gave a lesson about how our brain works... such as our brain tend to give the wrong message, etc.

Monday... eventually, the day has come! My favorite subject!! It was by Pastor Gan from St. Stephen's Church Yong Peng. On the 1st day, it was about Malaysian society. So we learned about Malaysian society, have group discussion, and then DEBATE!! There were 3 groups of us. 1st group led by Jia Rui, 2nd group by Grace, and 3rd group by me. We discussed about - in these 50 years, Malaysia is successful in what ways, what are the reformations should be done, and as Christians what we can do for our country. It was really exciting to debate!

Following days were about Islam, such as the Prophet Muhammad, what they believe... wow... I can't remember! We have group discussions and debates again...

We have a test on the 3rd day, on Islam. The total marks was 40, and I scored 38!! But left behind by Grace (39)!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 4th day... erm... I've forgotten! :-P Anyway there was Graduation Ceremony, but I'm not going to talk about it here, next post!

5th day, the last day. It was such a waste for Christine who have went back on the night before, she had to follow her church members. We have sharing regarding the lesson. While the lesson was on, suddenly Wilson and En Hui were caught talking, so they were chased out! But later Wilson came back secretly. So the pastor asked him to explain and apologize, so he was forgiven. As the lesson ended, it was such a touching time, farewell... the girls cried...

Anna and Grace hugged so many people (so including boys!). But Anna didn't hug me :-( Grace did.

I wanted to thank Anna's dad, Deacon Gideon Lee for helping to pass the money to me, so I wrote a thank you note. But Anna had left... :'(

So many people left...

4th week

This lesson was conducted by Pastor Frank Lin, about how to set goals in our life. The first homework was to list out 100 goals! Then I realised how much I've dreamed of! At the end, David Wong missed out 5. So - punished! Haha... Singing...

I've lost my lesson notes... :-P

On Friday, there was the Ordination Ceremony in St. Mary's Church. At first I didn't have the chance to go, because I didn't sign up. Not everybody can go, as place is limited. But when Pastor Frank Lin confirmed to go, I signed up to follow him! Then others went shopping at Berjaya Times Square, so some of those who signed up for the Ceremony went shopping! So? The OSC van full, Pastor Frank's van carried only 2 of us besides him! And Isaiah... He really doesn't like to go out...

Wow... the Ceremony... singing... I've met a few people from St. Peter's Church...

After that, Pastor Frank wanted to go back to Ipoh, so I followed him back to take a rest at my home sweet home... Attended the Chinese Youth Fellowship on Saturday afternoon, then back to KL at night by Transnasional bus...

3rd week

The lesson is "The Great Mission", by Albert Tang. His homework is much easier than then one in the 1st week!

We are going to have a drama in the Graduation Ceremony. The drama is about this ASOD, but in the comedial way. Things are being exaggerated, such as in the Orang Asli village, even though there IS a toilet, there is NO toilet in the drama!

Guess what, I'm starring as the 1st week pastor... Just a short while on the stage - introduce myself, warn about mobile phones, and teach.

2nd Saturday...

Not free as the first Saturday :-(

There was Saturday School in the afternoon - games games games...

We were separated into groups to help the teachers to conduct the games.

Happy to be in the same group as **** but...

Then at night there was Youth - but we were more than the people there!

And now I've found out of a really sad truth...

It's "Anglican School of Disciples"!!!!

Yea, it's "Anglican School of Disciples"!!!!
Not called "Disciple Training", it's just my own direct translation from Chinese :-P

Departure from Kampung Pawong

Last day... went to a waterfall in the morning.

Then... took some photos in the afternoon.

Oh yes, Rui Te caught a snake (real!), but dead. Someone threw it from the worship hall into the next door and scared Anna. Poor Anna, she was so frightened that she cried!

Leaving the village, leaving Ipoh... Back to Salak South...

Balik kampung (Orang Asli)

Hmm... My parents sent me back to the village...
I've recognised the way, so I had to watch out. I've remembered how the road look like, ...

My parents have bought many snacks for the Orang Asli kids!

I took my father to the place where we use to take bath, ...

Went for another home visiting in Pos Raya before dinner. But some stayed to prepare our dinner.

I've went to that Pos Raya church before! I remember the toilet behind, only Celcom has signal there, many houses behind, and a nice place to play water behind!

At night we have song of praises, games, then barbecue...

Wow, I was very very full!! Ate a lot!!!! I didn't expect to eat so much!

And we even have to share (compulsory!) the foods... so everyone have to take at least a little, so - the last one have to finish it!

While we were finishing the tea, it was Pi Jie who passed the jug of tea for me. Actually either I myself or he is supposed to pour the tea into my mouth, but I told him, "This time I want a girl to pour for me!". But he seem didn't realise and pour for me. But I scolded him, "Hey are you a girl!?" So, Anna was told to pour for me! So exciting!!

Argh... the matter has became greater and greater... While we were supposed to sleep... Argh, don't know how to tell the story, now everyone knows I like...

About our Bishop...

Oh yes, I've started an article each about him in the English Wikipedia and the Malay Wikipedia! But too lazy to write in the Chinese Wikipedia, you know it's torturing to type Chinese... type the Hanyupinyin and choose the word by number!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ng_Moon_Hing
http://ms.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ng_Moon_Hing

So far only one sentence I could write. I've asked his daughter Jia Yi via Windows Live Messenger, but all the useful info she could give me is only the birth date! Besides that, she gave me all sorts of comments (all positive! Haha...) such as "he is a great pastor",...

Hmm...

Going back to Orang Asli village!!

I'll be back!! My parents will send me there...

Back home to rest

Today (Erm... I mean the 3rd day, Wednesday), I go home.

Philip and four girls - Anny, Anna, May and ... don't know how to spell her name... came along with me. It was Pastor Eduan sending me, as he need to go to market.

Dropped us at the Petronas station in Simpang Pulai.

I went back to school to have my O-Level and UEC results certified by the Vice Principal (Haven't get a new Principal yet). Met just a few friends plus teachers and talked for short while :-( And I even have to wait for the Vice Principal...

As I look around... wow, Yew Jia ____________________ has grown fat! :-P Anyway she's still very very pretty to me, want to tell her that SHE DOES NOT NEED TO GO FOR SLIMMING. Wish her pretty forever...

2nd day with Orang Asli

Life without phone signal, without electricity, without...

Actually in the cam[fire at the night before, it was decided that the girls have to get up to cook, but I objected, I called this MALE CHAUVINISM, as this needs the girls to get up earlier than the boys. So I've got up early too!

Then at the end, almost everyone helped in cooking.

After breakfast, the boys dig fish pond while the girls... not sure what, but I know they paved a path to the water tap.

We who digged fish pond went to the river to take bath before lunch. But only few of us! :-(

In the afternoon, there was Sunday School around 4 pm. Ermm.. should call "Tuesday School"! Played games, sing songs...

Then after that, around 6 pm, we splitted into 2 groups for home visiting. Each group only one family. Come chat with me to find out more.

After dinner, we have prayer meeting at night...

Orang Asli village (cont'd)

We have to eat with hand like the Orang Asli. As the Malays, use your RIGHT hand! But Anna used her LEFT hand! Haha...

At night there was service. Erm...

Then we have campfire. Only giving our testimonials. Me? I talked about I took Bible Knowledge in GCE O-Level...
One of them couldn't speak Malay! Haha... He need a translator... Then he even need a Bible... fortunately I prepared a Malay Bible.

Am I the only one having Malay Bible?

We slept around 12... The boys are supposed to sleep in the worship hall while the girls in the Kindergarten room. But the girls found that they have no space in the room, so they joined us!

Someone slept right in front of the altar, and you guess what happened next...

Wednesday, January 9, 2008

In Orang Asli village

We went on Monday. I was worried about life there.
Bishop described how terrible is the environment - a lot of mosquitoes, toilet without door, ...
But fortunately it isn't as bad as I thought! Alhamdulillah! Hallelujah!
The toilet has door and even had lock, but just a piece of wood nailed there. At first I didn't see that! Haha :-P

On Sunday night, a girl whom I cannot spell her name, who had attended last year's Training, came and join us for 2 weeks. So she has experience!

On Monday, we took LRT from Salak South to Pudu bus station. You know, we got to the wrong place to wait for bus! Wow... carrying such heavy bags...

The bus was around 10am I think. Reached the Medan Gopeng bus station in Ipoh around 12 something. My land!!

I've phoned my dad to bring me my Malay Bible. Then he even bought me KFC!

But we ate at McDonald's...

We were taken by Orang Asli in 3 vans. As we went up the mountain, eventually we have lost handphone signal and our communication with the outside world is OFF.

Cooling place...

How sad, I have to finish up my meal while the others enjoy at the waterfall :-(

Oh ya, the village is Kampung Pawong, the church is Gereja Hosanna. The pastor's name is Eduan.

Sunday worship@Christ Church, Jinjang

Part of the Disciple's Training activity. Started at 9 am I think.

I like the worship, the hymns... It had been so long I've never been to such a serious service. Great!

Then we had meal around 11 am. Each of us had a tissue paper box cover. Then I've bought a book about Chinese folk religions, plus a pen.

Later there was Sunday School... Erm... what to say?

Sunday, January 6, 2008

The first week in the Disciple Training

Due to leaving this blog for not being updated for long long long long long long long time... Now I have to put everything in the first week in this post...

Arrival (Wednesday) - Food not nice, and then lesson at night...
Thursday - Argh... Woke up about 7 am... Spiritual training early in the morning before breakfast... So tiring... slept :-P Like the breakfast (roti canai) but dislike the lunch and dinner. Dislike lesson too.
Friday - Same story! Haha... but don't like all the meals
Saturday - Free day!! But still have Spiritual Training... Then... Shopping at Midvalley in the afternoon. Walking here and there...

Hate homework!!!!! Couldn't write Spiritual Diary, couldn't do the exercise for the lesson...

Disciple Training

Going to Disciple Training of Anglican Diocese of West Malaysia (Chinese)

Even though my first language is English, and I used to attend the English 2nd Service in my church, I wish to get into the Chinese Youth, so hope that this helps :-)

For our church, besides me, there are Hao Jieng and Isaiah Kuah.

This training is in Salak South Our Saviour Church, KL. It starts at 1st January, but we went 2nd Jan :-P

Bishop Ng drove us there!

The training will ends 1st February... Out of home for one month...

2008!!

I'll turn up 19 at 11th March...
I wanna make lots of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
I wanna...
I wanna...

Sam Chai 6A - shopping at Jaya Jusco

But only 6 boys and 2 girls altogether!
Jensen invited us. Besides us, there were:
Siong Tung
Kean Hui
Yik Hong (left half way)
Yen Wen (late)
Pek Mun
And... argh! Cannot spell his name...

We have agreed to meet at 11 am, but Jensen himself came late - 11.45 am!!
We watched "Alvin and the Chipmunks". Wow, I couldn't recognize Pek Mun!
Haha... she's far too much different from her photo she post on Windows Live Messenger. And... she's short! Haha...

Then after that we took lunch at McDonald's. At this moment only Yen Wen turned up!

Later... Yik Hong left, I can't remember when.

We went around, e.g. the game centre...
Yen Wen's mother (Teacher Goh, my standard 3 class teacher) came. We talked...

Argh... only these few of us! When can we all meet again?

Christmas

Hmm... what to say?

Actually my mum thought of taking me to Bukit Mertajam in the morning, skipping the church service. But it was 24th night only she remembered about buying bus fare!

So? We attended the church service and quickly buy the bus fare in the afternoon.

But could only get a lousy bus - sub under the Grassland (which have excellent buses) but it stopped a few times on the Highway, air-cond spoilt... :-(

Hmm... more and more...

Many more haven't write :-P
Getting too busy, and no time to update!
