3rd week

The lesson is "The Great Mission", by Albert Tang. His homework is much easier than then one in the 1st week!

We are going to have a drama in the Graduation Ceremony. The drama is about this ASOD, but in the comedial way. Things are being exaggerated, such as in the Orang Asli village, even though there IS a toilet, there is NO toilet in the drama!

Guess what, I'm starring as the 1st week pastor... Just a short while on the stage - introduce myself, warn about mobile phones, and teach.

2nd Saturday...

Not free as the first Saturday :-(

There was Saturday School in the afternoon - games games games...

We were separated into groups to help the teachers to conduct the games.

Happy to be in the same group as **** but...

Then at night there was Youth - but we were more than the people there!

And now I've found out of a really sad truth...

It's "Anglican School of Disciples"!!!!

Yea, it's "Anglican School of Disciples"!!!!
Not called "Disciple Training", it's just my own direct translation from Chinese :-P

Departure from Kampung Pawong

Last day... went to a waterfall in the morning.

Then... took some photos in the afternoon.

Oh yes, Rui Te caught a snake (real!), but dead. Someone threw it from the worship hall into the next door and scared Anna. Poor Anna, she was so frightened that she cried!

Leaving the village, leaving Ipoh... Back to Salak South...

Balik kampung (Orang Asli)

Hmm... My parents sent me back to the village...
I've recognised the way, so I had to watch out. I've remembered how the road look like, ...

My parents have bought many snacks for the Orang Asli kids!

I took my father to the place where we use to take bath, ...

Went for another home visiting in Pos Raya before dinner. But some stayed to prepare our dinner.

I've went to that Pos Raya church before! I remember the toilet behind, only Celcom has signal there, many houses behind, and a nice place to play water behind!

At night we have song of praises, games, then barbecue...

Wow, I was very very full!! Ate a lot!!!! I didn't expect to eat so much!

And we even have to share (compulsory!) the foods... so everyone have to take at least a little, so - the last one have to finish it!

While we were finishing the tea, it was Pi Jie who passed the jug of tea for me. Actually either I myself or he is supposed to pour the tea into my mouth, but I told him, "This time I want a girl to pour for me!". But he seem didn't realise and pour for me. But I scolded him, "Hey are you a girl!?" So, Anna was told to pour for me! So exciting!!

Argh... the matter has became greater and greater... While we were supposed to sleep... Argh, don't know how to tell the story, now everyone knows I like...

About our Bishop...

Oh yes, I've started an article each about him in the English Wikipedia and the Malay Wikipedia! But too lazy to write in the Chinese Wikipedia, you know it's torturing to type Chinese... type the Hanyupinyin and choose the word by number!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ng_Moon_Hing
http://ms.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ng_Moon_Hing

So far only one sentence I could write. I've asked his daughter Jia Yi via Windows Live Messenger, but all the useful info she could give me is only the birth date! Besides that, she gave me all sorts of comments (all positive! Haha...) such as "he is a great pastor",...

Hmm...

Going back to Orang Asli village!!

I'll be back!! My parents will send me there...

Back home to rest

Today (Erm... I mean the 3rd day, Wednesday), I go home.

Philip and four girls - Anny, Anna, May and ... don't know how to spell her name... came along with me. It was Pastor Eduan sending me, as he need to go to market.

Dropped us at the Petronas station in Simpang Pulai.

I went back to school to have my O-Level and UEC results certified by the Vice Principal (Haven't get a new Principal yet). Met just a few friends plus teachers and talked for short while :-( And I even have to wait for the Vice Principal...

As I look around... wow, Yew Jia ____________________ has grown fat! :-P Anyway she's still very very pretty to me, want to tell her that SHE DOES NOT NEED TO GO FOR SLIMMING. Wish her pretty forever...

2nd day with Orang Asli

Life without phone signal, without electricity, without...

Actually in the cam[fire at the night before, it was decided that the girls have to get up to cook, but I objected, I called this MALE CHAUVINISM, as this needs the girls to get up earlier than the boys. So I've got up early too!

Then at the end, almost everyone helped in cooking.

After breakfast, the boys dig fish pond while the girls... not sure what, but I know they paved a path to the water tap.

We who digged fish pond went to the river to take bath before lunch. But only few of us! :-(

In the afternoon, there was Sunday School around 4 pm. Ermm.. should call "Tuesday School"! Played games, sing songs...

Then after that, around 6 pm, we splitted into 2 groups for home visiting. Each group only one family. Come chat with me to find out more.

After dinner, we have prayer meeting at night...

Orang Asli village (cont'd)

We have to eat with hand like the Orang Asli. As the Malays, use your RIGHT hand! But Anna used her LEFT hand! Haha...

At night there was service. Erm...

Then we have campfire. Only giving our testimonials. Me? I talked about I took Bible Knowledge in GCE O-Level...
One of them couldn't speak Malay! Haha... He need a translator... Then he even need a Bible... fortunately I prepared a Malay Bible.

Am I the only one having Malay Bible?

We slept around 12... The boys are supposed to sleep in the worship hall while the girls in the Kindergarten room. But the girls found that they have no space in the room, so they joined us!

Someone slept right in front of the altar, and you guess what happened next...

In Orang Asli village

We went on Monday. I was worried about life there.
Bishop described how terrible is the environment - a lot of mosquitoes, toilet without door, ...
But fortunately it isn't as bad as I thought! Alhamdulillah! Hallelujah!
The toilet has door and even had lock, but just a piece of wood nailed there. At first I didn't see that! Haha :-P

On Sunday night, a girl whom I cannot spell her name, who had attended last year's Training, came and join us for 2 weeks. So she has experience!

On Monday, we took LRT from Salak South to Pudu bus station. You know, we got to the wrong place to wait for bus! Wow... carrying such heavy bags...

The bus was around 10am I think. Reached the Medan Gopeng bus station in Ipoh around 12 something. My land!!

I've phoned my dad to bring me my Malay Bible. Then he even bought me KFC!

But we ate at McDonald's...

We were taken by Orang Asli in 3 vans. As we went up the mountain, eventually we have lost handphone signal and our communication with the outside world is OFF.

Cooling place...

How sad, I have to finish up my meal while the others enjoy at the waterfall :-(

Oh ya, the village is Kampung Pawong, the church is Gereja Hosanna. The pastor's name is Eduan.

Sunday worship@Christ Church, Jinjang

Part of the Disciple's Training activity. Started at 9 am I think.

I like the worship, the hymns... It had been so long I've never been to such a serious service. Great!

Then we had meal around 11 am. Each of us had a tissue paper box cover. Then I've bought a book about Chinese folk religions, plus a pen.

Later there was Sunday School... Erm... what to say?

The first week in the Disciple Training

Due to leaving this blog for not being updated for long long long long long long long time... Now I have to put everything in the first week in this post...

Arrival (Wednesday) - Food not nice, and then lesson at night...
Thursday - Argh... Woke up about 7 am... Spiritual training early in the morning before breakfast... So tiring... slept :-P Like the breakfast (roti canai) but dislike the lunch and dinner. Dislike lesson too.
Friday - Same story! Haha... but don't like all the meals
Saturday - Free day!! But still have Spiritual Training... Then... Shopping at Midvalley in the afternoon. Walking here and there...

Hate homework!!!!! Couldn't write Spiritual Diary, couldn't do the exercise for the lesson...

Disciple Training

Going to Disciple Training of Anglican Diocese of West Malaysia (Chinese)

Even though my first language is English, and I used to attend the English 2nd Service in my church, I wish to get into the Chinese Youth, so hope that this helps :-)

For our church, besides me, there are Hao Jieng and Isaiah Kuah.

This training is in Salak South Our Saviour Church, KL. It starts at 1st January, but we went 2nd Jan :-P

Bishop Ng drove us there!

The training will ends 1st February... Out of home for one month...

2008!!

I'll turn up 19 at 11th March...
I wanna make lots of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
I wanna...
I wanna...

Sam Chai 6A - shopping at Jaya Jusco

But only 6 boys and 2 girls altogether!
Jensen invited us. Besides us, there were:
Siong Tung
Kean Hui
Yik Hong (left half way)
Yen Wen (late)
Pek Mun
And... argh! Cannot spell his name...

We have agreed to meet at 11 am, but Jensen himself came late - 11.45 am!!
We watched "Alvin and the Chipmunks". Wow, I couldn't recognize Pek Mun!
Haha... she's far too much different from her photo she post on Windows Live Messenger. And... she's short! Haha...

Then after that we took lunch at McDonald's. At this moment only Yen Wen turned up!

Later... Yik Hong left, I can't remember when.

We went around, e.g. the game centre...
Yen Wen's mother (Teacher Goh, my standard 3 class teacher) came. We talked...

Argh... only these few of us! When can we all meet again?

Christmas

Hmm... what to say?

Actually my mum thought of taking me to Bukit Mertajam in the morning, skipping the church service. But it was 24th night only she remembered about buying bus fare!

So? We attended the church service and quickly buy the bus fare in the afternoon.

But could only get a lousy bus - sub under the Grassland (which have excellent buses) but it stopped a few times on the Highway, air-cond spoilt... :-(

Hmm... more and more...

Many more haven't write :-P
Getting too busy, and no time to update!
